CISV International is actively recruiting a Health and Safety Officer for a full-time, permanent position that allows remote work. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the global mission of CISV International to educate and inspire for peace through intercultural friendships, cooperation, and understanding.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the International Safeguarding and Risk Management Lead, the Health and Safety Officer will:

  • Support the strengthening of CISV’s safety culture and procedures
  • Focus on behavioural and cultural transformation to bring Health and Safety regulations to life
  • Respond to and investigate H&S related incidents
  • Develop a Health and Safety Operational Plan for implementation across all regions
  • Create Health and Safety resources shared with all volunteer Risk Managers on SharePoint

Candidate Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • People Skills: Exceptional ability to nurture relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience: Significant Health and Safety experience, NEBOSH general certificate is beneficial
  • Skills: Case and risk management, effective collaboration with volunteer teams remotely
  • Personal Qualities: Proactive, supportive, patient, service-oriented, stakeholder-focused
  • Values: Openness to new cultures, commitment to diversity, and inclusion
