Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the job:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a specialized HR function established to support management by reducing the time to hire and ensuring fair and efficient hiring practices. Specialists are responsible for the internal and external selection and hiring process for a designated region. Full-cycle responsibilities include sourcing, building strong industry-specific networks, recruiting, hiring, pipeline development, daily utilization with ATS (iCIMS), and other employment practices. This position supports management, and the Human Resources team, and works with personnel in every department. Additionally, the selected candidate for this role would be expected to have a full investment, be engrained, with our operations teams, and have a professional understanding of our industry needs, expectations, and duties. (Position is On-Site).

Responsibilities:

  • Generate relevant candidate flow through various methods with standard practices and “outside of the box” approaches.
  • Perform outreach activities to build future candidate pipelines for seasonal hiring needs.
  • Develop a strong partnership with the hiring manager team and formulate a recruiting strategy with the hiring manager for specific needs.
  • Take ownership of the region you are assigned to, and ensure continued meets are scheduled with operations leadership.
  • Have the ability to visit job sites/field sites regularly to learn some of the basics within our industry.
  • Take part in continued education, and meet with our operations teams, to learn each of the roles that you would recruit for.
  • Advertise job vacancies through our career site, social media, and career events.
  • Review applications to select top candidates for pre-screening.
  • Pre-screen candidates and present the top to the hiring manager for review.
  • Facilitate the selection and onboarding process to include the interview, offer, and onboarding stage.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
  • Strong sourcing background needed.

Minimum:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work a requisition load of 35+ openings.
  • A minimum of 2 years of recruiting experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Previous work history in a related industry (construction, industrial, etc).
  • 3 or more years of recruiting and/or general human resources experience in the Utility Services industry.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
